Position: Full Set Accountant
Department: Finance
Reports to: Finance Manager / Director
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, efficient, and experienced Full Set Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s full set of accounts, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all financial transactions. You will play a key role in safeguarding the company’s financial health and providing reliable financial data to support management decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Set Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Handle full cycle accounting processes, including voucher review, journal entries, and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Prepare accurate and timely Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements, and other management reports.
- Execute month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Tax Management & Compliance
- Compute and submit all tax filings accurately and on time, including but not limited to:
- Corporate Income Tax (CPT/Form C)
- Sales and Service Tax (SST) returns
- Withholding Tax (SPCB/CP37)
- Employee-related tax computations (PCB, EIS, etc.)
- Ensure full compliance with Malaysian Companies Act, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards (MFRS).
- Assist in tax optimization and annual audit preparations.
- Compute and submit all tax filings accurately and on time, including but not limited to:
- Accounts Receivable & Payable Management
- Manage customer invoicing, collections, and accounts receivable aging analysis.
- Process supplier invoices, payment arrangements, accounts payable aging analysis, and maintain good vendor relationships.
- Handle employee advances and expense claim verification.
- Payroll Administration
- Collaborate with the HR department to verify payroll data, ensuring accurate and timely processing of salaries, EPF, SOCSO, and EIS contributions.
- Bank & Cash Management
- Manage all banking transactions, including online payments and monitoring of bank balances.
- Prepare regular bank reconciliation statements.
- Monitor daily cash flow and prepare simple cash flow forecasts.
- Audit & Compliance
- Assist in annual statutory audits by preparing required schedules and supporting documents.
- Maintain and organize financial documents and records in accordance with legal retention requirements.
- Additional Duties
- Participate in improving and optimizing financial processes.
- Perform other related tasks assigned by management.
Requirements
- Education & Qualification:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as LCCI/ACCA/CIMA/MIA will be an advantage.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Full Set Accountant in a Malaysian company.
- Hands-on experience with Malaysian accounting software such as AutoCount / SQL Accounting / UBS is essential.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, etc.).
- Skills & Attributes:
- In-depth knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations (SST, CPT, etc.) and financial reporting standards (MFRS).
- Strong attention to detail, high accuracy, and a sense of responsibility.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines (e.g., month-end, tax filing periods).
- Strong ethical standards and ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Good communication skills in English and Mandarin (Bahasa Malaysia is a plus).
