Job Responsibilities
- Preparing accurate financial statements and reports
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Processing invoices and payments
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Maintaining proper documentation for all accounting processes
- Communicating with external stakeholders regarding accounting matters
- Responsible for the full set of accounting functions and activities, including the preparation of the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, Trial Balance, and subsidiary ledger reports (for a small-sized entity).
- Lead, train, and supervise a team of accounts assistants and/or finance executives to manage finance functions
- Perform monthly closing reports, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Prepare cash flow reports and forecasts.
- Handle quarterly and yearly tax submissions, including estimated tax computations.
- Liaise with auditors for yearly statutory audits and periodic internal audits.
- Ensure compliance with financial authority limits, financial reporting standards (FRS), company policies, and other regulations.
- Perform monthly group reporting activities such as financial consolidation, KPI reporting, etc.
- Lead and manage ad-hoc projects and activities as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting, at least 3-5 years
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field
- Proficiency in accounting software (e-accounting experience preferred)
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
