Key Responsibilities1. Logistics & Supply Chain Management
- Oversee the end-to-end logistics process, ensuring seamless coordination between shipping, warehousing, and transportation providers.
- Monitor and optimize logistics costs and service levels to ensure operational efficiency.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Maintain accurate logistics records and shipment documentation; support system integration and data integrity in the ERP system.
2. Export Documentation & International Trade
- Ensure timely preparation of all mandatory documentation for export functions, including:
- Letters of Credit (L/C)
- Ocean Bills of Lading (OBL)
- Service Report Logs
- Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and insurance certificates.
- Prepare and submit Certificate of Origin (COO) applications in strict accordance with relevant Free Trade Agreement (FTA) requirements.
- Manage the closing of shipments and systematic filing of all trade documents.
3. LMW & Customs Compliance (Core Responsibility)
- LMW Management: Handle the full scope of Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) matters, including new license applications, renewals, and periodic reporting.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit CJ5 declarations and monthly/annual LMW stock reports to the Royal Malaysian Customs Department.
- SST Compliance: Manage SST exemption applications and renewals; monitor usage to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Authority Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for Customs, MITI, and other government agencies regarding regulatory matters and audits.
Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Mandatory Experience: Proven track record in handling Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) operations and regulations.
- Industry Experience: Experience in a Manufacturing environment is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of Malaysian Customs laws, SST regulations, and Incoterms.
Technical & Soft Skills
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in preparing legal documents and calculating stock reports.
- Communication: Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and verbal) for effective liaison with authorities.
- Competency: Capability to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- System Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or Customs declaration software (e.g., DagangNet).
