Company Introduction:
We are a vocational training institute based in Johor Bahru / Kuala Lumpur,
specializing in coffee, bartending and baking skills training.
We provide practical, hands-on courses for students and working adults who wish to enter the café, bar, bakery and wider F&B industry, and build a clear pathway from learning to employment or career advancement.
We are now looking for a Full-time Course Sales & Marketing Executive to help us promote our coffee, bartending and baking programmes to more students and young people across Malaysia.
1. Job Responsibilities
This role combines Course Sales (enrolment) and Marketing (promotion & awareness).
A. Course Sales / Enrolment (Sales)
Handle enquiries and consultations for our coffee / bartending / baking courses:
Communicate with prospects via WhatsApp, phone calls, social media DMs and walk-ins;
Understand the needs of students / parents / working adults (e.g. career change, personal interest, wanting to work in a café/bar/bakery etc.);
Recommend suitable courses or course bundles and guide them through the registration and payment process.
Follow up with potential leads:
Manage leads from social media, website, offline events, referrals, etc.;
Classify and track prospects (high interest / normal / follow-up needed) and conduct timely follow-ups;
Improve conversion rate from enquiry to enrolment and achieve monthly/term enrolment targets.
Customer relationship management (CRM):
Maintain good relationships with enrolled students; monitor their course progress and learning experience;
Collect student feedback, testimonials and success stories;
Keep in touch with graduates for potential upsell or advanced courses.
Sales reporting & KPI:
Record daily/weekly enquiries, sign-ups and conversion rates;
Prepare simple sales reports and share insights with the team;
Achieve personal and team sales KPIs.
B. Marketing & Promotion (Marketing)
Online marketing & social media:
Assist in managing the company’s social media accounts (e.g. TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, XiaoHongShu / RED);
Work with the team to produce promotional content: course introduction posts, student作品/portfolio showcases, class highlights, short videos, etc.;
Support online campaigns such as early bird promotions, limited-time offers, festive campaigns, etc.
Offline marketing & partnerships:
Help build basic partnerships with universities, colleges, vocational centres, cafés, bars, bakeries and other F&B partners;
Assist in planning and executing offline events: Open Days, trial classes, career talks, industry sharing, roadshows or education fairs;
Introduce courses to walk-in prospects at events and collect contact information for follow-up.
Campaign execution & tracking:
Participate in planning promotional campaigns (e.g. referral programmes, graduation showcases, latte art competitions);
Assist with event logistics such as booth setup, registration, basic photo/video taking;
Track campaign performance and suggest improvements.
C. Internal Coordination
Coordinate closely with course consultants, trainers and operations team to:
Ensure sales communication matches actual course content and schedules;
Share common questions, objections and feedback from the market with the teaching team;
Align marketing and sales activities with course launch and intake dates.
Perform other course sales and marketing-related duties as assigned by the management.
2. Requirements
Must-have
Genuine interest in Sales (enrolment) and Marketing (promotion), and willing to work towards targets and KPIs.
Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable personality:
Comfortable speaking with new people via phone, messages and face-to-face;
Able to listen to customer needs and clearly explain how our courses can help them.
Language skills:
Able to communicate in Mandarin (Chinese);
Basic English for reading materials and replying to simple messages;
Bahasa Melayu is an advantage.
Interest in coffee, bartending and/or baking:
Having attended related courses or having experience in cafés, bars or bakeries is a plus;
At minimum, willing to learn basic industry knowledge so you can explain the courses confidently.
Legally allowed to work in Malaysia (Malaysian / PR / valid work permit).
Nice-to-have
Experience in course sales, education consultancy, telesales or consultative selling;
Experience in social media management, online marketing or content creation;
Experience in event organisation, campus promotions or education / career fairs;
Possession of own transport and valid driving licence, and willing to travel occasionally for campus visits or partner meetings (with allowance/claims);
Comfortable appearing on camera occasionally for short videos or livestreams to introduce courses.
3. Compensation & Benefits
(You can adjust the figures based on your company policy.)
Salary Structure:
salary: RM 3,000 – RM 6,000 (depending on experience and skills);
Sales commission (based on enrolment numbers or sales amount);
Campaign / performance bonuses where applicable.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm;
Some events or classes may be scheduled in the evenings or on weekends. Time off in lieu or equivalent compensation will be provided.
