INNSIDE BY MELIA is looking for a FRONT OFFICE DUTY MANAGER to join us. We are located in No. 693, Eko Cheras, N-G01, Batu 5, Jln Cheras., 56000 Kuala Lumpur.
Responsibilities:
- Co-operates, coordinates, and communicates with other hotel departments as required.
- Check and follow on-shift handovers, check arrivals, and familiarize oneself with room allocation, the day’s VIP arrivals, and special room requests.
- Respond to guest needs and resolve related problems
- Check the guest’s messages, telexes, and mail to ensure prompt delivery
- To assist the Tour Co-ordinator/Tour Leader with group check-in/out.
- Ensure that all employees completely understand and adhere to the hotel’s policies and procedures, relating to hotel emergency procedures.
- Ensure that all Front Office personnel comply with FIT marketing techniques and maximize sales.
- Supervise/prepare monthly roster to ensure sufficient manning.
- Assist in the training of Front Office personnel.
- To supervise staff performance during shift duty. Counsel and Discipline staff when necessary. •
- Maintain a good working relationship with staff.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Min Diploma in Hotel Management
- At least 1-2 years related experience
- Knowledge using OPERA system etc
- Good spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to speak Chinese and local dialects is added advantage.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing work environment
