Assistant Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies and plans
• Support daily sales operations and help ensure team targets are met
• Monitor sales performance and prepare regular sales reports and forecasts
• Coach, motivate, and support sales representatives to improve performance
• Participate in recruiting, training, and onboarding new sales staff
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and clients
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations when required
• Coordinate with marketing, finance, and operations teams to support sales initiatives
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback
• Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing, and sales procedures

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Familiar with Modern Trade (Local key account, international key account, retail chain) and General Trade (wholesale market)
• Familiar with West and East Malaysia Market
• Must be able to travel frequently
• Proven experience in sales or a supervisory sales role
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze sales data and prepare reports
• Customer-focused with strong negotiation skills
• Proficient in MS Office and CRM software
• Must be fluent in Chinese language

Experience

• 5–8 years of experience in sales, must be in FMCG field (Food & Beverages)
