Warehouse Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring timely completion of tasks and meeting productivity targets
• Develop and implement effective warehousing and distribution strategies to optimize logistics and supply chain management
• Manage a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties efficiently
• Conduct regular inventory management, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to minimize stock discrepancies
• Collaborate with suppliers and shipping partners to negotiate rates, schedules, and delivery times, ensuring smooth and cost-effective operations
• Analyze and interpret warehouse performance data, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and productivity
• Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe andhealthy working environment
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to identify and implement process improvements, increasing efficiency and reducing costs
• Maintain accurate records of warehouse inventory, shipping, and receiving activities
• Develop and implement budgeting and cost control procedures, ensuring the warehouse operates within its allocated budget

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics
• At least 1-3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in a warehouse or logistics setting
• Strong understanding of warehousing and distribution principles, including inventory management, supply chain management, and logistics
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of warehouse staff
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with experience in using inventory management software and other warehouse management systems
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination
• Physical ability to perform tasks requiring heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
