Senior Buyer Cum Planner

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute purchasing and procurement strategies to achieve business objectives
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, negotiate prices, and optimize inventory levels
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Analyze sales data and market trends to inform purchasing decisions
• Implement and maintain a robust inventory management system to minimize stockouts and overstocking
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and finance, to ensure smooth product flow and optimal costs
• Develop and manage purchasing contracts, purchase orders, and agreements
• Conduct quality control and inspection of products to ensure compliance with company standards
• Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on purchasing performance and trends
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, and inventory management
• Bachelor’s, Diploma, or Master’s degree in related fields (Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, etc.)
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Experience with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Strong understanding of procurement principles, practices, and regulations
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
