Job Summary

The Draughtsman is responsible for creating detailed drawings and plans for the hotel’s interior design projects, ensuring that they align with the hotel’s standards and aesthetics. Additionally, the Draftsman will cover graphic design tasks, producing visual content for marketing and communication purposes.

Key Responsibilities :

• Interior Design Drafting:
  • Develop detailed drawings and plans for interior design projects, including layouts, elevations, sections, and details.
  • Collaborate with the Design Manager and other team members to understand project requirements and design concepts.
  • Create and update CAD drawings based on project needs and revisions.
  • Ensure that all drawings comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and hotel standards.
  • To operate computer for drafting engineering, products, drawings and copying existing drawings in 2D, 3D, Solid Works 2D, 3D and AutoDesk Inventor.
  • To carry out site inspection and take measurement of any new / existing product in order to acquire practical knowledge.
  • To carry out site measuring and inspection works when required.
  • To provide detail and good quality drawings for every project(s).
• Project Coordination:
  • Assist in the selection of materials, finishes, furnishings, and fixtures for interior design projects.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure accurate implementation of design plans.
  • Participate in site visits and inspections to verify that construction work aligns with design specifications.
  • To arrange all drawings and documents for recording.
  • To maintain full confidentiality of the Department documents.
• Graphic Design:
  • Design visual content for hotel marketing materials, including brochures, posters, flyers, and digital media.
  • Create and update graphics for the hotel’s website, social media platforms, and other online channels.
  • Develop visual presentations and proposals for design projects and marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure all graphic design work aligns with the hotel’s brand identity and marketing objectives.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and feedback for design improvements.
  • Follow specifications and calculations to create technical drawings.
  • Following specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings.
  • To read and understand any engineering and built drawings given by Managing Director.
  • Must be willing to work extra time for any emergency job(s).
  • To perform any other function(s) and/or assignments as and when required by the Management.

Qualifications :-

• Education:

• Diploma or Bachelor of Science in engineering or architecture, or at least 3 years’ experience in a similar job.

• Experience:

• Minimum 2 years in drafting, interior design, and graphic design, preferably in hospitality.
• Experience in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD).
• Ability to draw manually favorable, but not essential.

• Skills and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of interior design principles and space planning.

• Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail.

• Creative ability to translate concepts into visual designs.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work well in a team and independently.

• Ability to respond well to criticism and maintain a positive attitude.

• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and hotel standards.

• Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods while working on drawings and computer designs.

• Ability to visit construction sites and participate in inspections as needed.
