Responsibilities
As an Account Clerk, your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and databases
- Preparing and processing invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations
- Supporting the accounting team in tasks such as data entry, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Monitoring and managing petty cash and other expenses
- Coordinating with cross functional teams such as sales, procurement, and customer services to ensure financial information is up-to-date and accurate
- Preparing and submitting tax returns and other financial reports as required
- Providing excellent customer service and support to clients and internal stakeholders
- Conducting research and analysis on financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Assisting in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 0-1 year(s) of experience in accounting or a related field
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion
