Responsibilities
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to meet business objectives
- Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods, including booking and scheduling of shipments, and arranging for customs clearance
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth logistics operations
- Manage and supervise logistics team members to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities to reduce logistics costs
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination
- Analyze and report on logistics metrics and KPIs to inform business decisions
- Develop and maintain effective processes and procedures to improve logistics operations
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and implement new technologies and innovations to improve logistics operations
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics or a related field
- Bachelor’s or Diploma in a relevant field, such as logistics, supply chain management, or business administration
- Strong knowledge of logistics principles and practices, including transportation management, warehousing, and inventory control
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software, such as transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Strong analytical and data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret data to inform business decisions
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy and precision in work
- Physical fitness to lift and move heavy objects, and to spend long periods standing and walking
